High-risk groups include military and first responders. Prevention involves gradual fitness increases, acclimatization, proper hydration, avoiding exercise when ill, and not using stimulants.
HMCS Venture holds inaugural Resilience Run
On July 19, HMCS Venture held its first Resilience Run, engaging over 120 participants in a 5km walk/run as part of a new fitness initiative. Sub-Lieutenant Aisling Wydysh highlighted the enthusiasm and aims to make the run a monthly event to foster mutual support in fitness.
